Tooth extraction

  • Cat

Teeth can sometimes not be preserved, for example because of fractures or an abscess at the tooth root, and have to be extracted.

Many small breeds have problems with persisting teeth, i.e., a milk tooth does not fall out and thus becomes an obstacle for the new permanent tooth. If the persisting milk teeth are not removed in time, this leads to dental misalignment and causes lasting damage to the permanent teeth.
